Maintenance Requirements

To keep your guarantee active, the following conditions must be met:

Annual maintenance inspection performed by Xtreme Automotive Detailing or an approved detailing professional

Proper washing methods must be used — hand wash or touchless only

Automatic tunnel washes or brush-style washes are not permitted and will void the guarantee

Use only pH-neutral automotive soaps; avoid harsh chemicals or degreasers

No machine polishing, heavy compounding, or abrasive corrections unless performed by Xtreme Automotive Detailing

Any repainting, body repairs, or polishing must be disclosed before guarantee continuation

Exclusions

This guarantee does not cover:

Damage caused by neglect, accidents, or improper washing

Pre-existing paint defects or clear coat failure

Etching or staining from bird droppings, bug acids, or tree sap left untreated for long periods

Damage from chemicals, abrasives, or environmental fallout outside normal conditions

Transferability

This guarantee is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser and the vehicle listed on the service record.

What exactly does a ceramic coating do?

Think of a ceramic coating as a hard, clear shell that sits on top of your clear coat. Unlike wax, which sits on the surface and washes away after a few months, a ceramic coating chemically bonds to your paint. It acts as a sacrificial layer that takes the beating from the sun and elements so your actual paint doesn't have to.

Does this mean I never have to wash my car again?

You will still need to wash your vehicle, but the process becomes much easier. The coating is "hydrophobic," meaning it repels water and dirt. Dust and road grime won't stick as stubbornly, so you can often rinse the car clean with much less scrubbing and effort.

Can I take my coated car through an automatic car wash?

We strongly recommend avoiding automatic car washes with spinning brushes. The abrasive bristles can damage the coating and leave swirl marks. For the best longevity, we recommend hand washing or using a "touchless" automatic wash if you are in a hurry.

Does the coating prevent rock chips or deep scratches?

While ceramic coatings are very hard and offer excellent protection against light wash marring and environmental damage (like bird droppings or tree sap), they are not armor. They will not prevent stone chips from highway driving or deep scratches from keys or heavy impact.

How do I make sure the coating lasts the full life?

To get the maximum life out of your coating, we recommend a simple maintenance wash every few weeks and an annual inspection/decontamination wash with us. This ensures the coating remains unclogged and continues to repel water effectively.
